My name is Lukas Hjernquist and I run Hjernquist IT Konsult. I help businesses and organizations build sustainable digital solutions that work in daily operations.

About me

Experienced developer with a clear and practical way of working

With five years of professional software development experience and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Uppsala University, I combine technical breadth with a calm and pragmatic approach. Technology should make everyday work easier, not more complicated.

Many clients I work with already have a clear idea of what they want to achieve. What is often missing is a reasonable path to get there. The range of technical options is huge, and it is easy to get stuck in where to start and what is actually needed.

That is usually where I come in. I help sort out what is necessary, what is overkill, and how to take the first step without building something larger than it needs to be.

I do not know everything from day one, but I am curious and used to learning new tools and environments. What matters to me is that the solution works in daily operations. I am also not afraid to test, evaluate and change direction if needed.

With me, you get a technically strong sounding board who can think strategically and also carry out what we decide to build.

I currently work as a fullstack developer at a smaller government agency, which requires strong flexibility and broad technical competence. In practice, that means switching between several technical areas and owning solutions that need to be both stable and sustainable over time.
